Solutions for village governments
Our office is in Morosunggingan village, Peterongan district. These are the problems that village offices often face, and how we help solve them.
Residents wait a long time for referral letters (surat pengantar)
Statement letters (surat keterangan) are still typed one at a time, resident data has to be looked up in different books or files, and letter numbers are recorded by hand.
We build a letter service app that follows your village's letter formats. Resident data is entered only once, letter numbers are recorded automatically, and the archive is easy to search. The details are on the App development page.
The village budget (APBDes) must be made public, but the village has no website or it is neglected
Residents have the right to know both the planned village budget and how it was actually spent. A website with a desa.id domain (the official web address ending for Indonesian villages) makes it easier for the village to publish this. We explain what a village website should contain in our article on the content of a village website.
We build village websites that open quickly on phones and that village officials can update themselves. If the village already has a website that is broken or has been hacked to carry pages for illegal online gambling, we can repair it. The details are on the Website development and Website repair pages.
Data on residents and aid recipients is spread across many files
The same data is typed again for every report, so the figures in one file often differ from those in another.
We bring that data together in one app, so every report can be drawn from the same data without typing it again.
Cash accounts of the village-owned enterprise (BUMDes) and residents' groups are still kept in exercise books
BukuGembok, the cash book app we built, is free to use for BUMDes, neighbourhood associations (RT), arisan (rotating savings groups), and farmers' groups. The app runs on a phone without internet, and the data is stored on the user's phone.
How procurement works
Work for a village follows the village budget (APB Desa) and the regent's regulation (peraturan bupati) on village procurement. We summarise the rules in our article on procurement of goods and services in villages. Every job comes with a 6-month repair warranty, starting from handover.
