SAVIS, check soybean nutrient deficiencies from a leaf photo

Take a photo of a soybean leaf, and the app estimates whether the plant is healthy or short of a nutrient (plant food), with fertiliser advice. The app runs on the phone without internet, and the photo is not sent anywhere.

Ready to useFor soybean farmers and agricultural extension workers. Free.

What you can do

  • Recognise four soybean leaf conditions: healthy, nitrogen deficiency, phosphorus deficiency, and potassium deficiency.
  • Suggest fertiliser for the condition detected.
  • Use it right in the field, without taking samples to a laboratory.

How to start

  1. Open savis.hanzcodes.my.id in your phone's browser. You do not need to register.
  2. Take a photo of a soybean leaf with the phone camera, or choose a photo from the gallery.
  3. Wait a few seconds, then read the result and advice that appear.

Your data

Photos are processed on your own phone and are not sent to any server.

The AI model in SAVIS, the part that recognises the leaf condition, was developed by Hasby Asshiddiqi from his undergraduate thesis research at Universitas Trunojoyo Madura. HanzCodes built the app.

Technical details

The classification model runs on the device, inside an offline-first PWA.

Free, with custom versions on request

SAVIS is free to use. Government agencies or companies that want a custom version on their own server can contact us. If you find the app useful, you can help cover its server costs.
